Everything that happened on the blog last week with a couple extras.Too much? Not enough? Let me know what you think.
That was fun! Thank you for reading and listening.
As with so many things, it started out as ‘this might be a fun little project’ and evolved into dozens of hours, late nights fussing over playlists and captions. Year One will be a lot easier.
New subscribers: thanks for signing up. The links are all below, I hope you find something you like. I tried and failed to keep up with the usual postings, and that’s fine. I’ll be back on track next week, I can’t wait.
Year Zero posts in case you missed ‘em:
Music
Writing
By the numbers (short form, books)
Thanks to each of you for being here. Now the good stuff:
Read
I did manage to post a handful of links to short stories. If you have a little time, read This Mine of Mine. Better yet, make more time and read ‘em all.
Book reviews of The Safekeep (read that one), a collection of Raymond Carver stories and First Love by Gwendoline Riley.

Got something to share? Want your first reader or listener?
I’m always looking for good writing and good music. If you have something to recommend (your own stuff or something you’ve found), lay it on me.
Listen
Only one post about new music this week, that was Virgin Orchestra, an orchestral indie rock band from Iceland that’ll knock your socks off.
Also on the playlist:
Singles from previous faves HONESTY and The Girls Upstairs with new discoveries from Walter the Producer, The Ghouls, Ethan Samuel Brown, chokecherry, West Side Cowboy, Foreign Air, Gabba Delic, Isabella&Sebastian, Puplic House & Swoon, ALBI, Pilar Victoria, Kloyd & Kri, Naked Roommate, PAPAL STATES, Wonderbug, Moin, and IAN SWEET with an awesome Broken Social Scene cover.
20 songs, 72 mintues. Hear it all on Apple Music or Spotify
Or check out the top 100 of year zero. Almost surely something you’ve not heard before.
NEXT WEEK: The second book of Knausgaard’s ongoing series (the third just came out so that’s up soon). On Freedom by Timothy Snyder. Just Kids by Patti Smith. The album from Flower Face.
